The definition of “Preposto” (Safety Local Supervisor) can be summarized as: a worker who, by virtue of his proven experience, his usual long lasting presence in the building, than other ones or who receives precise instructions to supervise the activities of entire or individual work processes in which other workers are involved, has a supervisory role in the fulfillment of specific company safety precepts and more generally of good work practices and compliance with his own and others’ safety and health conditions.

In fact, it is an emanation of the employer, regarding the control and maintenance of company safety policies and is therefore responsible for omitted reports or shortcomings in supervisory operations also for criminal purposes.
